The Vecchia Darsena is positioned just inside the historic
centre of Savona, where the sea "enters" into the city. Under
the shade of the two Brandale and Campanassa towers, there are 125 moorings
both for resident boats and visiting boats, whose availability is of about
15 boats (10% of the total).
The Vecchia Darsena can provide all kind of comfort and service: from
drinking water to electricity connection. Other services like hauling
and ship maintenance are also available.
An important characteristic of the dock consists of the presence of a
drawbridge at its entrance which opens automatically:
Working days: it opens every hours (10,30-11,30, etc.);
Non-working days: it opens every half hour (10,00-10,30, etc.)
The transit for sailing boats is only possible
when the drawbridge is open.
Ashore you can find pubs, restaurants, with
typical Ligurian dishes, ice-cream parlours and other public and people
services such as sanitary facilities with showers.
Furthermore, during the summer, many concerts and important shows are
organised inside the old "Scaletto d'alaggio".
Assonautica and S.V. Port Services are the two companies that obtained
the concession to directly manage the port moorings.
There are also other pleasure boating zones at S.Lucia-Miramare-Funivie
Ponente, administrated by Assonautica, which can provide all the basic
services.
Whereas an other zone, Molo di Sottoflutto, is managed by Lega Navale
Italiana and has a capacity of 400 slips.
If you need any kind of information about the concession of new moorings,
please contact the managing companies.
